My name is Orquidea and I am a private local guide here in Oporto/Porto, Portugal. I am Portuguese and have lived here my whole life. I became a tour guide because I love working with foreigners, showing them my country, giving them an insight to Portuguese history, food and culture with informative and exciting tours.
Although Portugal is small, it is very diverse and offers incredible opportunities for you to discover - architecture, food & wine, festivals, great weather, hospitable people and much more and I am here to help experience all of these!
I offer tours in northern Portugal to the most sought after places - Guimarães, the birthplace of the nation, Douro Valley, famous for its port wine and more recently table wines, and its beautiful river and majestic scenery, the UNESCO Heritage city of Porto and all of its hidden treasures, These are just a few of the places that I visit with my guests.
I am flexible to customize a tour to your liking. If you have any special requests, I will do my best to accommodate you so that you leave here with a wonderful experience, great memories and a desire to return!
